Holly Willoughby provides added juice to Southern leg of Lookers Electric Charge charity campaign

TV personality and one half of This Morning presenting duo Holly Willoughby has given the Lookers Electric Charge some extra spark after taking part in a portion of the fund-raising route.

The presenter and mother of three took time out of her busy schedule to lend a hand and joined David Stones, Head of Business at Land Rover Battersea, as he drove a Range Rover Sport P-HEV to Skoda West London.

The Lookers Electric Charge has been driving across the UK to raise funds for motor industry charity Ben and has recently finished at Mercedes-Benz of Eastbourne on 9th October.

The fund-raising challenge, which launched at the Audi Centre in Dublin in May, saw a relay of electric and hybrid vehicles travel 2,000 miles to destinations including all 155 of Lookers’ franchised dealerships, where a wide range of fundraising activities took place, from carbon neutral days and green energy workshops to test drive events and golf days.

While on route Holly talked about her TV partnership with Philip Schofield, the trials and tribulations of working alongside Keith Lemon and the upcoming series of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, where she’ll be presenting alongside Declan Donnelly.

David said: “Thank you to Holly for getting involved in our Electric Charge challenge. She was a great sport and took a great interest in the relay and the work that Ben does to support those in need across our industry. We are almost at the end of the challenge so a big thank you also to everyone that has been involved in all the weird and wonderful fundraising carried out right across our dealerships.”

Fancy dress has also been a big part of the Electric Charge and staff in the South have not disappointed, with everything from sumo wrestlers at Lookers Ford Chelmsford to the cast of The Flintstones at Volkswagen Guildford getting involved.

You can catch all of the Electric Charge highlights at LOOKERS.CO.UK/EC4BEN, the Lookers YouTube Channel LookersWebTV, and Lookers’ Facebook and Twitter pages @lookersgroup, all of which use the hashtag #LookersEC4Ben.
