Help to purchase your electric vehicle
The UK government offers ‘plug-in grant’ for consumers buying eligible new Hybrid or Electric vehicles. The retailer that you purchase the vehicle from will include the value of the grant in the vehicle’s price. There are 6 categories of vehicle which determine the grant that is given, based on CO2 emissions. Jaguar I-PACE has been awarded 'Category 1' status due to 'CO2 emissions of less than 50g/km and can travel at least 70miles (112km) without any CO2 emissions at all' - according to Government guidelines. This ensures maximum grant funding towards the purchase price of a new I-PACE.

Help with excise duties and registering your electric vehicle
As electricity is not considered to be a fuel, plug-in electric vehicles do not incur fuel duty for the electricity they use and are therefore exempt from VED.
