Introducing the new Peugeot 508 Estate from Taggarts Motherwell

If you’re looking for a slick and reliable estate car, the Peugeot 508 should absolutely be on your shortlist. This big car combines impressive performance with the reliability and simplicity of design which was perhaps missing on the 407 and 607 models that the 508 replaces. Gone are any attempts at making the bigger models in the range look like the sportier ones, and instead the 508 is generous in cabin room, looks like an estate car, but has style and sophistication represented on every panel and extremity.

Peace of mind

As you’d expect from an estate car that’s built to house families and keep small businesses on the road, the new Peugeot 508 has safety at its core. Drive this estate car with total peace of mind, thanks to the inclusion of three-point inertia reel seatbelts, ABS brakes, multiple airbags (front, rear and curtain) and cornering brake control (CBC).

Fuel efficiency at its best

It doesn’t matter which engine option you choose, every one gives good MPG and low CO2 emissions. The lowest in the range for the latter are the Hybrid models which have 2.0-litre engines and five doors, and these also offer the highest MPG – 68.9 to be precise. The SW Estate 1.6-litre THP 156 models deliver 44.8 MPG and emit 145g/km of CO2 – technically the least fuel efficient in the range but still very impressive.

The right engine option for you

With more than 15 different engine options to choose from, our Peugeot experts are here to help you pick the right one for your driving needs and habits. Diesel and petrol engines are both available, with two engine sizes – 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre. Click on “Go!” beside each model to see the full technical spec, or get in touch so we can talk you through each one and arrange a test drive. The top speed of the 1.6-litre engine models is around 125mph and it can reach 0-60mph in around 11.8 seconds – impressive for such a big car.
