The bespoke Range Rover is expected to fetch £25,000 at auction
A very special Range Rover Sport formerly owned by none other than David Beckham will be up for auction next month. The sale due to be held on 5th December at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre, is expected to raise £25,000.
This one-off car, now eight years old and powered by an impressive 4.2 litre supercharged V8 petrol engine, was said to have been exclusively designed and upgraded for the Unicef Goodwill Ambassador by Kahn Conversions at a cost of £100,000.
Inside, the bespoke black Range Rover features a unique interior with hand-stitched quilted leather seats, twin rear screens and a one of a kind Genesis sound system. There is no doubting the previous owner, as there is also a also plaque which declares "Designed for David Beckham", and in addition the Beckham name is embroidered into the floor mats.
Commenting on the car – which has covered 62,000 miles - classic car specialist at CCA, Arwel Richards, said: “This amazing personalised Range Rover with its impeccable provenance offers a unique future investment opportunity. David Beckham is arguably one of the most famous personalities on earth, and certainly a titan of sport. Recent sales of celebrity owned cars have far exceeded the true market values of contemporary models and so we expect great excitement around the sale.”
And keeping it in the family, David isn’t the only Beckham to provide input when designing a Range Rover. In 2012 wife Victoria used her design skills to create a special edition Range Rover Evoque. Speaking at the time, she remarked: "It's a great honour. I wanted to design a car that I want to drive and that David would want to drive.”
