Overview
The Hyundai i20 has been given a makeover recently and this includes the exterior design and the engines in the range. The fuel efficiency has been strengthened and the CO2 emissions are lower than in previous models. The introduction of a 1.1 CRDi engine ensures that those vehicles have been given the lowest possible emissions and great fuel economy. There are both the three and five door versions, making this a great choice for a family car. Interior
The Hyundai i20 has been given a wide range of features to make life easier for the driver and passengers. The car features remote central locking as well as extras such as the Bluetooth connectivity on some of the models. There are some models that are fitted with lights and windscreen wipers that can automatically activate when the sensors tell them they are needed during a storm. The rear view mirror has been given a reversing camera to aid with parking. The instrument is easy to use and within reach for the driver. Safety
Safety has been given prime consideration on the Hyundai i20. Anti-lock brakes that have the EBD system (electronic brake force distribution) are fitted on all models as standard. The locks on the rear doors are childproof and there are deadlocks for more security. All models are fitted with the Electronic Stability Programme and the driver’s side on some models has a safety window with an anti-trap function. Fitted to the front seats and the side of the vehicle are full length curtain airbags for the safety of both the driver and the passengers. The front passenger airbag can be de-activated if preferred by the owner. The front seatbelts have pre-tensioners and they are also height adjustable. The dash has a seatbelt warning to tell the driver if passengers are not wearing them and there are ISOFIX points in the rear of the car for child seats.
