Taggarts Motor Group is one of the best-known names in the Scottish motor trade.
We have come a long way since the company was founded by James Taggart and his friend Robert McMillan in 1896. From our early days as a Motherwell cycle shop Taggarts has grown to become one of the most important dealerships in Scotland and one of the most progressive.
We have showrooms at Glasgow and Motherwell covering the franchises of Land Rover, Jaguar, Volvo, Mazda, Hyundai and most recently the addition of Peugeot along with a group bodyshop and parts wholesaling business.
In February 2003 Taggarts was acquired by Lookers plc, which took Lookers into Scotland for the first time. This acquisition confirmed the Lookers Group as the largest retailer of Jaguar and Land Rover in the Premier Automotive Group's northern region. Today, Lookers is one of the UK's leading motor retail and distribution groups. The group's franchised businesses operates more than 100 motor retail outlets across 32 marques from more than 70 locations across the UK while its independent aftermarket parts division includes, FPS, the only national parts distributor in the UK, BTN Turbo, an international distributor of turbo chargers and APEC a distributor of aftermarket brake parts.
